Walling2Recovery (W2R) is a dry stone walling company focused on supporting the mental wellbeing and mindfulness of military and 'blue-light' veterans. We mainly offer dry stone walling events in the Cotswolds, N Wales and Cumbria that help with physical and mental recovery, as well as aid in the transition to civilian employment for military and blue-light veterans.
Founded in 2024 by Andrew (Andy) Docherty; an Army Veteran and passionate dry stone waller.
Andy is a professional dry stone waller and is qualified as a DSWA LANTRA Level 2. He won the Veterans category of the Ellwood Classic @ Merrivale, Devon in 2026
W2R is in its infancy but is gaining momentum and growing every day - be part of our success.
We have successfully completed events @ The Gordon Messenger Centre Lympstone, on the Bathurst Estate in the Cotswolds, at the Field Studies Council centre near Keswick and at Betws-y-Coed; plus sites in France and Spain.
We are working with two charities in order to extend the 'offer' from Spring 2025 -
In 2026, we established links with weServed and Veterans Can as part of efforts to reach the widest possible veteran community.
